I Have Been At HostNexus For....... 4561 days.
That’s 12 years, 5 months, 25 days. (± a few days)
That is how long I have been with Mr. Laurence Flynn and HostNexus as a very satisfied and loyal customer. A lot of Hosting companies will tell you that they have a 99% uptime guaranteed. Ok let’s see what that does to my numbers. If my numbers are correct, I could have been down for all my websites, for 46 days and that would still pass the test. Well, in my 12 years total, my downtime may have been 24 hours, total, at the most? That’s less than 1/10th of a percent downtime.
There has to be a reason for that, actually two reasons. First and foremost, Mr. Flynn is a freaking genius when it come to the needs of consumers when it pertains to being online, having a presence online, and building on a premise that nothing is acceptable unless it’s done right the first time and it’s backed up with a group of IT techs that can answer any question that gets tossed their way. And 99.999% of those answers will fix whatever problem you have with the wide, wide world of craziness we all call the internet.
My story is simple really. Back in the late 90's there was not hardly any social media outlets on line and not many actual personal or small business websites. All that was about to change. All of a sudden, young kids wanted their own websites to brag about their baseball team, or their racing team, or football team...see where this is going?
All of a sudden Hosting companies sprang up all over the internet. From 1999, until early 2006 I went through four or five different ones. All did what they said and that was provided web space and email space for whatever you wanted it for. But concerning my choices I had back then, it was the IT support that was lacking for me. It was extremely lacking, and that was mainly because everyone was learning the trade and learning about all the good things and even the bad things that pushed you to the limits to keep a safe running operation up and viable.
But in my opinion. none of those first companies ever made me feel like I was important to them. If I messed up on some email issue or a design issue, it was like, sorry, that’s a problem out of our scope of work. I actually had a tech say to me once, why didn’t you google it and see if you could find an answer. I promise he said that in very broken English and from that point on I did just that but we all know how non-personal Google can be at times. No disrespect Google but, damn you are outgrowing your pants, lately aren’t you? Slow down and enjoy the trip for a change. I may disappear now. I never thought a simple review could get me in hot water with a giant. Where is my invisibility cloak!
All this lack of respect and scary directions ended with when I came across HostNexus.
OK OK OK…Truth time…HostNexus was a search result from…..Google. OK.There I said it. You happy now?
HN had been around a few years, and everyone I Spoke with about them all said the same things. They are the real thing, and they have actual physical hosting centers and they will tell you their exact location of those centers. They didn’t hide anything. That was something new to me. When trying to find the data center locations of some of my previous ventures, it led me to places I never heard of in some far-off remote part of our planet. But with HN, I knew back then there was a data center in New Jersey and in Texas and when a bad storm was headed towards one of the locations, Laurence would be ready and at all times he would give us a heads up. Also, even today and way back in 2006, he would tell anyone on any of his numerous web platforms, that there will be maintenance, planned or not on whatever server and the times it would occur. He also informs us there could be some minimal downtime and to expect it. He never refuses to tell anyone about the work they will do or are doing and how long it will last. One of the selling points to becoming a HostNexus subscriber is you will be fully aware of what’s going on technically on your server at all times.
This is a field ran by electronics. I’ve worked and studied electronics from 1966 to present. One thing I can tell you is, as some point, something in a cabinet full of electronics, will fail. You can’t stop it and more importantly, you must never ignore it. The tech guys here are some of the best I have ever seen in this field of expertise. And the #1 reason I like them so much is, respect for the customer and respect for their products, so much so that they believe very much in what they do. Opening a support ticket should never be a headache for the consumer and here at HN, it’s never been one for me in the 12 years I been here.
HostNexus employees are very professional, and personal when they need to be. And the owner, Laurence Flynn, is inspiring to say the least. His visions are endless. His knowledge is extreme, and his love for this company is second to none. Exciting things are on the Horizon in this field. WordPress 5.0 is coming out soon with the largest make over and upgrade and some new UI in a very long time. The WP Editor version, "Gutenberg" has the tech community buzzing. But it’s not just WordPress news. It’s all forms of Hosting choices in the new growth of our systems.
If you are looking for a place for your website to call home, or any other online platform is interesting you, then HostNexus is the place to start. Knowledge is everything so read what they offer, read the testimonials, (this one may be too long to post, plus I may be in deep trouble with some random search engine tiny giant :), and especially go read the HostNexus Blog and read the words Laurence speaks so eloquently but so very full of great information, news, and hopes for this industry. An exciting industry as it leaps into yet another age of new transformation. HostNexus will be a leader in this giant leap and I hope to be here for another 12 years 5 months and 25 days to witness all the possibilities coming our way. It is kind of like, HN will be the same company but we also have to plan and be ready for new exciting ways to enjoy this wide, wide world of the internet!
